Civil engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines, encompassing many interdependent technical specialties.

Civil Engineering Department at IMPACT College prepares the students to plan, design, and supervise construction of a wide variety of facilities such as space stations offshore structures, bridges, buildings, tunnels, highways, transit systems, dams, airports, irrigation projects, distribution facilities for water, and collection and treatment facilities for wastewater and hazardous wastes. In short, civil engineers are problem solvers who provide solutions for issues such as pollution, ageing infrastructure, traffic congestion, energy needs, floods, earthquakes, urban development, and community planning.

This department was established in 2010, and since then 2 batches of IMPACT graduates have been very well received by the industry. Career options for Civil Engineering Graduates include public and private organisations or in entrepreneurial endeavours. Future career opportunities for civil engineers may range from project management to collaboration with architects, contractors, and government agencies on construction ventures.
